The Marvels blasted into theaters on Friday, November 10. An action-packed hour and 45-minute showing kept the audience on the tip of their seats. This movie follows the story of the young Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel)  and the reuniting of Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) and Monica Rambeau.

The Marvels follow two of the newest Disney+ shows: WandaVision and Ms. Marvel. These shows are a must-watch to understand the movie and how all the powers came about. It also follows up on what happened to Captain Marvel after Endgame.

This new MCU phase five movie makes it to the top of my list with the twists and turns throughout. It has the comical relief every Marvel movie should have and an emotional scene that wasn't expected.

Kamala Khan is one of the newest Avengers who joined the team with an ancient bangle that changed her life forever. She is a young New Jersey girl whose entire personality is the Avengers, especially for Captain Marvel. In this movie, she gets to finally meet her hero whom she unexpectedly got connected with through their powers. But she is not the only one intertwined in the connection, Monica Rambeau also is added in with her powers. These characters all share the same power just in different forms.

Watching this movie, and finally getting some more personality out of Captain Marvel was fantastic to see. The vulnerability and her goofy personality were finally shown because of one of the past mistakes she made back in her original movie. She and the other two heroes must fix what was messed up together against the villain Kree: Dar Benn.

This movie features a few familiar faces that will make any Marvel fan go crazy over. And typical Nick Fury makes his appearance with a newer personality we haven't seen before. He has a lot more humor in this movie than is typical. I think it completely made the movie better by having that humor as a backbone to the plot.

The ending leads us into future projects for the MCU, as well as the one-end credit scene in the middle of the credits. The Marvels dynamic together was such a powerful team, and I'm ready to see what happens to these heroes in new movies.
