Jostens Announcement Distribution
Jostens will be on campus to distribute announcements at the Class photo and during lunch.

Senior Class Photo
We will take a senior class photo for the yearbook during Advisory - 9:50-10:45am in the gym. We will also go over some important announcements.
May 7
Senior Speaker Tryouts
Are you interested in being the senior speaker at Commencement? Tryouts are being held on May 7th after school in room 58. Bring a prepared speech (and a printed version) and be prepared to give your speech to a panel of judges. Students not selected for speaking at Commencement may be selected for speaking at other events. Talk to Mr. Layton (Room 58) if you have questions.

Senior Assembly - Cap & Gown Distribution
During advisory 9:50-10:45 - Find out all the important upcoming events and dates about graduation. Jostens will also be in the commons during lunch distributing caps & gowns.
Turn in your cap decorating forms to receive a cap topper.
Invitation only awards night.
June 3rd
Last Day for Graduates
Last day of regular classes for graduating students.
June 3-7
Commencement Ticket Pickup
Students can pick up their tickets during lunch in the commons June 3-7. Tickets will not be able to be picked up until everything on the student account has been paid for and all classes needed to graduate are being passed.
Each graduate will receive 8 tickets. If you need more than 8 tickets, you will need to check with other graduates to see if they have any available.
Seniors can come for breakfast at 7:30am for a final goodbye to their teachers.
June 5th
Graduation Assembly
Graduates need to arrive by 9:30am with their cap & gown.
Assembly will begin at 10:35am.
Head back to where it all began at your elementary school.

June 7th
Commencement Practice - Mandatory
7:00 AM at the Oregon State Pavilion.
Students who are not present for practice do not get to walk at Commencement.
Students will walk into commencement in groups of 4. Practice moves more quickly if you come prepared with knowing who you want to walk with.
2:00pm at the Oregon State Pavilion.
Each graduate will be give 8 tickets for graduation. Tickets are required for entry to commencement. Ticket quantities are determined by the graduating class size and seating capacity at the venue.
If you need seating accommodations please contact the school office as soon as possible.
June 7th
Parent Sponsored Graduation Party
10:pm-4:30am All night graduation party sponsored by senior class parents at the Kroc Center.
June 11-13
Diploma Distribution
1:00-3:00pm each day in the commons by the registrar.

Last Day of School for Graduates
Senior Photos
The 2024 McNary Claymore Yearbook will need your senior picture. Senior pictures will be due on Friday, January 5, 2024.
To submit your photo, either you or you photographer will need to upload your electronic photograph to hjeshare.com. The school code will be mcnaryhighschool. If you do not submit your senior photo, your school I.D. picture will be in the senior portrait section. If you did not have your school photo taken, or you did not submit a senior photo, your picture will not be in the yearbook.
PICTURE GUIDELINES:
- Your electronic photo should be at least several MB in memory. Your professional photographer will most likely give you file sizes that will be big enough to reproduce well.
- The preferred file type is jpeg, or jpg. The iPhone format of HEIC will not work with our software. Please have that fixed on your end.
- Photographs should be vertical in orientation. Horizontal photos will be cropped to vertical.
- A head and shoulder shot is preferred. Full body shots are fine.
- Photos need to conform to community standards. We have the right to reject a photo and ask for another one.
