The spring sports season is coming to full effect and Celtic golfers are excited to show their skills this season.

McNary senior Elijah Clandening has been around golf his whole life, competing in golf his entire high school career, and is committed to Lewis and Clark College. He, as well as other teammates, are working hard this year to try and make it at state or even beyond.

‍

“If you want to try something that you can grow into and play the rest of your life then golf is great,” Clandening said. “Its also good if you like team sports but still want to compete individually.”

‍

“I really like the closeness with the team and our diverse skill level, plus we have one of the best coaching staff around.”

‍

Elijah isn't the only one excited for the new season though, 

‍

“I started golf last year and really want to try and get to state and break 100 points this season,” McNary sophomore Addyson (Addy) Andrew said. “Its my second year and I'm really liking the team.”

‍

The golf team is great and if you like being outside and hanging out in a welcoming environment, students should consider joining the golf team next season.

‍
