Nov. 17 was the day of McNary's annual AVID Student Showcase. Students in AVID had the chance to show off their academic skills to around 85 educators from all around Oregon.

“They were blown away by the instruction, culture, and systems they experienced,” Mr.David Holcomb said, An instruction mentor, and AVID coordinator at McNary.

The educators viewed a presentation, visited classrooms, and attended a student panel with a leadership Q&A.

“The most informative aspect of hearing from the student and staff panel was the authenticity.” said an Assistant Principal from the Pasco School District.
