The Marvel Cinematic Universe is constantly growing with strong and powerful female characters. During Women's history month, actress Zoe Saldaña *famously known for her role as Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy* produced a new show, with some of the newest Marvel women.

This show is MPower with four episodes showcasing: The women of Black Panther, Captain Marvel, the Scarlet Witch, and Gamora.

Each episode, goes through the actresses' history of acting, the processes they went through, and how they ended up in the MCU. As well as the creation of each character and how they were brought to life from just a comic book, to a real action movie played again and again in theaters all around the world.

In episode one, they talked about they made the females less sexualized and more powerful. I think that was one of the best choices the MCU has made young women want to see themselves represented, especially in such big movies, not just as the girlfriend or the side character, but as the main character.

Getting to know the creation of these female superheroes is very inspiring to girls and women worldwide.

“The representation of women in Black Panther is plentiful and varied,” said Lupita Nyong’o, Nakia in Black Panther.

Each episode is so impactful in every way; such as telling the story behind the major black female cast to have the most powerful superhero that are played by women.

These episodes really showed me how much time and effort these females leads did to get themselves to where they are now.

MPower is a powerful show that needed to happen, I loved it and I think we need more episodes. Having all those female leads come together and getting to see how impactful their roles are too young women is incredible.
