For front-office receptionist Mrs. Meredith Dameron, dressing up for spirit week was just a matter of searching through her son’s closet.

Today is the first day of McNary’s spirit week, and the theme is Adam Sandler.

She said she loves the actor Adam Sandler and is a big fan of his movies. “I think Adam Sandler is an American icon,” she said, and her favorite Adam Sandler movie is 1998’s “Water Boy.”

Dameron went on Pinterest, looked up “Adam Sandler picture inspo,” and then only needed to dig through her son's closet to put together the costume.

As for wearing her son’s clothes to school, Dameron said they are “super comfortable.” However, she said she would not wear them to work again unless it was for another spirit day.

“I love spirit week. It’s all about the fun,” she said.

Tomorrow students and staff will be dressed as tourists.
