Essential Skills

Grade 11 - The Oregon board of Education requested a waiver for the Class of 2022. We are waiting for this decision. Until then, McNary will still plan on administrating the state test as well as the essential skills work samples.

To opt-out of summative English language arts and mathematics state tests please fill out the State Testing Opt-Out Form (below) and return to your School test Coordinator.

Grade 12 - Seniors/Early Grads (Class of 2021) are exempt from all essential skills requirements for graduation. This means, they do not need to meet the Essential Skills (ES) Reading, ES Math, and ES Writing to graduate.
