Today, March 17, is St Patrick’s Day.

The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over 1,000 years. On St. Patrick’s Day, which falls during the Christian season of Lent, Irish families would traditionally attend church in the morning and celebrate in the afternoon.

Ace Boyles, a junior at McNary, is going all out of Saint Patrick's Day.

"My dad is super duper Irish, so I guess that makes me Irish as well," Boyles said.

St Patrick’s Day is celebrated in America with public parades and festivals, music, dancing, drinking, and the wearing of green attire or shamrocks.
