Have you ever heard about a place in downtown Salem called The Salem Drop center for youth?

The mission statement for the Salem Drop is: “To Create a safe space, connections, resources, and support from a peer lived experience,” Said Alberto Maldonado, Peer Support Speccialist and and Regional Manager of The Salem Drop.

The Salem Drop has no cost to attend, “we only ask for investments, investments in yourself,invest in your mind,invest in your community , and invest in your space by being respectful,” Maldonado said.

‍

“ The organization of the Salem Drop is called Youth Era. Its a 501 C3 Non -Profit which had originally started in Eugene Oregon. Then, it began to spread out in other cities in Oregon such as Salem,” Maldonado said.

Other Youth Era organizations that can be found in Oregon are cities like the Eugene Drop, Clackamas Drop, Coosbay Drop, and Medford Drop.
