At 1:12 pm Friday, an oven in the culinary fundamentals class set off the fire alarm. A puff of steam came out of the oven during the making of sugar cookies in the class causing the alarm to go off.

In an email to staff later in the day, Assistant Principal Mr. Dan Borresen said "again, our extremely sensitive smoke sensors in the new culinary room reacted to some cookie preparation and went off."

This is the second time this school year this has happened.

”The cookies were still good though,” said Walea Tompson, a student in the class.
