After a 12 year wait, the McNary Celts lacrosse team finally beat the West Salem Titans.

Last Friday on April 29th at 8pm, the McNary lacrosse team beat West Salem 11-10 at the McNary Fletcher Field.

The lacrosse team was a little nervous in the beginning of the game, but after the first half, they were all good, said junior Kyler Donahue, whose position is face off.

The Celts were down 10-6 in the third quarter, but eventually made up for being down some points.

The toughest player was Jesse Dyer according to Donahue. Dyer is the attackman who scored the tying point.

Midfield player Roman Burrus secured the winning goal that night.

The player who stood out the most to Kyler Donahue was Braiden Copeland because of his defensive slides and physical appearance. “He’s a god, but we’ll all become gods eventually too,” Donahue said.

“It was a motivational game, and we stayed calm at key moments of the game while West Salem was whining,” Donahue said.

The key opponent that night was Mason Murry whose position is attackman for West Salem.
