McNary leadership is rolling out the red carpet for the 2021 homecoming.

Homecoming will be 6 pm to 9 pm on Oct 16 on the football field. To get in, students will need their ID card as well as a receipt from purchasing a ticket online.  

To purchase tickets, go to the McNary Payment Portal.

The deadline to purchas tickets will be Thursday, Oct. 14.

The two homecoming chairs/ directors this year, sophomore Mary Jespersen, and junior Lucero Salazar are excited to plan the homecoming this school year along with the rest of the leadership class

“The theme of homecoming is Lights, camera, action this year,” Jespersen said.

"There is a lot more that needs to be done to pull this off than one might think, especially this year. After we have everything planned, we show or present it to a teacher, and then it goes to the proper channels to get it approved," Salazar said .

Now that planning has begun, COVID has already affected this homecoming planning process. “The idea we submitted was for it to be outside. And that also came with a lot of challenges,” Salazar said .

The homecoming game this year is on Oct.15 against West Salem High School.

The theme for McNary students is "Neon Out.”
