The latest Dungeons & Dragons movie released on March 31 and has been widely well received, scoring a 93 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes; And there is a reason why, excluding that its been the only good Dungeons & Dragons movie.

Visuals are important to a story and boy does the new D&D movie provide, nearly everything about the movie looks wonderful and does its job in bringing a world of fantasy to life that many have simply imagined in their heads or seen in books with simple drawings.

While the story is simplistic, that doesn't make it bad, far from it. The story is entertaining with jokes that land more often than not, and it doesn't feel out of place or intrusive when the characters jump around from place to place.

Despite how good the movie is, there are flaws, there is a noticeable lack of different races in a world where humans only make up around 50 percent of the population; In addition, the movie relies too much on named locations and people that would go over most people's heads if they have never played the game.
