On Nov. 17, student greeters could be seen near McNary's doors waiting to welcome the advisors visiting the school for the annual AVID Student Showcase.

During this showcase,students in AVID had the chance to show off their academic skills to around 85 educators from all around Oregon.

“As I visited classrooms, I cannot put into words the sense of pride I felt as students showed off their learning and hard work,” Mr.David Holcomb said, An instruction mentor, and AVID coordinator at McNary.

“[The showcase] was an amazing experience and truly inspirational to see what it looks like when EVERYONE follows the systems in place. It not only builds a culture of learning but also create an atmosphere students and staff want to be in. I would love to the opportunity to work in a building/district like this,” said an English 10 Inclusion/Instructional Coach from Pasco School District.
