Mr. David Holcomb has been teaching at McNary since 2016. He teaches in room 219. Mr. Holcomb graduated with a Bachelor of Science in History and with a minor in Biblical Studies from Corban University. He graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching from Western Oregon University and focused on Social Studies education. He loves kids, history/geography and competition/athletics. He is the head coach for Cross Country and assistant coach for Track & Field – coaching long distance runners. When he is not teaching he is spending time with his wife, two kids (girl and boy), and dog. He enjoys the outdoors (hiking and backpacking), running, playing board games and card games, and watching sports. He loves motivating and inspiring young people to strive for greatness and achieve their dreams. He believes every student he comes in contact with can live their dreams – as long as they are not afraid to fail and push themselves beyond their comfort zone.
