What is McNary AFJROTC?
McNary’s AFJROTC program is one of almost 1,000 AFJROTC programs nationwide and exists to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community. Like all JROTC programs, McNary AFJROTC strongly emphasizes life-skills and student success. It does not require Military service, nor does it recruit for the Military. McNary AFJROTC also has branching programs and clubs such as the Physical Training Team and Color Guard (more will be listed below). Because McNary AFJROTC has such a wide range of responsibilities, services, and co-curricular activities, it is an important and large program that requires student support in the form of participation.
If you are considering enrolling yourself in the program, it would be a great service to your community, school, and yourself as a McNary student and member of the Keizer community.
Why join McNary’s Air force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps?
(There are numerous benefits to gain from joining a JROTC program, Mcnary’s program is no different).
– AFJROTC is a semester long program that rewards ½ history credit OR ½ of an elective credit each run-through.
-After just two or three years as a cadet in the program you can gain real military rank if you decide join the military.
-You will gain knowledge about the USAF and what it is to be a good citizen.
-You can serve your local community and gain the respect from your elders.
– And many more personal benefits that come with being a member of McNary’s AFJROTC program (Note that AFJROTC does not recruit for the U.S. Military).
