McNary Community Mourns Loss of Isaac Garcia, Class of 2020

Tonight the Celtic Community is mourning the loss of one of it beloved students.
Rest in peace, Isaac Garcia, Class of 2020.
Please be aware of the needs of students, friends, family and anyone else seeking comfort while coping with this loss. McNary High counseling staff will be available for students or staff throughout the week.

The Keizer Police department issued this press release earlier in the day.
“Investigators have identified the deceased teenager who was struck and killed by the train in Keizer on Friday, December 30th and his next of kin have been notified. Isaac James Garcia, age 14, of Keizer was struck by a northbound train that is owned and operated by Portland & Western Railroad. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Isaac was a 9th grade student who attended McNary High School in Keizer. School administrators were notified of Isaac’s death over the weekend and have counseling resources in place and available to students who want to access them at the high school.
The investigation of this incident is continuing.
