IMMUNIZATION EXCLUSION DAY
January 22, 2018 By:Kyle Hooper
Immunization Exclusion Day is Wednesday, February 21, 2018. Passed in 2015, Senate Bill 895 mandates that all children attending schools or child care facilities under ORS 433.267 (1)(b) and (c), must have the required immunizations, or have an exemption on file to continue attendance. This is required by the state of Oregon and does not allow for any exceptions to be made for this policy. Salem-Keizer School District 24J is required by state law to keep a record of each student’s immunizations. Parents were required to complete a Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS) form with their child’s record of immunizations prior to enrolling their child in our schools.
