On Tuesday, April 16 the Keizer Chamber of Commerce was at McNary to watch the Contemporary Music Project (CMP). Mr. Andy Thomas and Mr. Josh Rist helped host this event. The CMP students performed for the Chamber. “ The components in it are overwhelming the professionalism and any person who loves music should be a supporter of this program,” said Mr. Lyndon Zaitz, a member of chamber. The performance that CMP gave led to donations from the Chamber. Chamber members were broadcasting it on social media.
Godin Guitars, a guitar company based in Canada who watched the live stream were so impressed that they agreed to donate a world class guitar to the CMP program. One of the programs goals is teach professionalism. One of the goals is to get paying gigs.
