The McNary book club is currently adding to their stacks of books for donation through Nov. 5 – Nov. 16 and requires help from the Keizer community. This book donation is run by Mrs. Jeannie Woodley, the head librarian at McNary, as well as the rest of the McNary club.
“We want to give books back to the community,” said book club member Nolan Bryant.
The point of this event is to collect books and give them back to the community. The book club wants to avoids older literature like H.P. Lovecraft, and explicit books such as 50 Shades Of Grey.
During the parent teacher conferences on Nov. 20-21, the book club will be giving away the collected books. You can donate books at McNary library or in the many book boxes in language arts classes around the school before Friday Nov 16.
So if you’re in need of a new book or looking to help your community donate and come to the book drive during McNary fall conferences.
