The McNary girls varsity basketball program believes they can compete for a league title this season, and have hopes of making a deep run in the playoffs.

The McNary boys varsity basketball program has a lot of experienced returners from last year’s team and has added to it some talented players from their lower levels.
The boys varsity basketball staff consists of the head coach Ryan Kirch, his assistants Marc McAvoy, Cameron McCormick, Kevan Hanson, and Austin Verboort (team manager) . Kirch, when asked about his goals for the team said his goals for the season are 3.7 GPA for his players, GVC Championship, play on final Saturday of season, out rebound every opponent, hold teams to 10 points or less each quarter, and for every turn over he wants two assists. Last year the varsity team finished with a record of 22 wins and 4 loses. The varsity boys last year were the Greater Vally Conference champs. The girls JV basketball staff consists of the head coach Drew Miller, his assistant . Miller, when asked about his goals for the team said, “to have fun and get better.” The JV team doesn’t have any team captains. The McNary girls JV-2 basketball program wants to be a better team after each practice and after each game.
The girls JV-2 basketball staff consists of the head coach Michael Miller. Miller, when asked about his goals for the team said, “by the end of the season, we want to become a better team than when we began.” Coach Miller also said, “our team will be full of players who are more prepared to play at the JV and Varsity level.” The team captains this year where rotate every game. The McNary boys freshman basketball program gets players ready to play together at the next level.
The boys freshman basketball staff consists of the head coach Kevan Hanson. Hanson, when asked about his goals for the team said, “win our league, have a winning record at home and on the road, improve in all aspects of the game, and play together.” Last year the freshman team finished with a record of 18 wins and 6 loses.
