The McNary High School Sports Field Synthetic Turf project is getting very close to achieving it's fundraising goal. However, we're also very close to running out of time to be able to pull the trigger for this summer's build, and have the Turf completed by the start of school in the Fall. The majority of the fundraising and in kind donations have come from local business and long time McNary supporters. The rest is needed from our community. The final $53,000 needed will only require 530 families to donate $100, 53 families to donate $1,000, or any amount you...

Salem-Keizer’s six large high schools (McKay, McNary, North Salem, South Salem, Sprague, and West Salem) will return to an eight-period block schedule next school year. The block schedule will allow students one more course opportunity than the current seven-period schedule. Under the eight-period block schedule, high school students will attend four classes per day, Tuesday through Friday (90-minute periods), and attend all eight classes on Monday (43-minute periods). Any students that have participated in a Junior Achievement program their junior or senior year is eligible to apply for up to $6000 in scholarships. The deadline for the scholarship application is Friday, May 15th, 2015.

The Salem Area College and Career Fair will be held at Willamette University located at 900 State St, Salem, Oregon, on Monday, April 27, 2015. The fair will be held in the Sparks Center, Building 47, from 6 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Learn about careers, and about colleges that provide career training. North Salem High School is hosting a free screening of "First Generation" for all middle and high school students in Salem. This event will take place on April 13th.
